Twelve of our Explorers completed their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Bronze practice expedition this weekend.
They did amazingly well, taking on challenges both as a team and individually. One of the highlights was crossing the Orwell Bridge on the King Charles III England Coast Path.
- Distance walked: 37km over two days
- Time walking: 14 hours
- Rucksack weight: 11kg to 18kg
- Menu: pasta and sauce, and a lot of biscuits and cake
- Blisters: too many to count!
The teams did brilliantly carrying everything they needed in the heat. Thank you to the team of leaders who kept everyone safe while supervising remotely. Bring on the assessment!
